What's Happening

My AsIan Journey is coming to an end in Vietnam as I prepare to make my way back to Vermont  and Green Mt Monastery at the end of the month.  Remembering Thomas Merton and his Asian experience  and his awakening to the Divine at the center of the Self.  Asia has that mysterious  ability to  awaken consciousness!

Good Friday and a visit to the Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  It is hard to comprehend the level of cruelty inflicted on the Cambodian people by the Khemer Rouge from 1975-1979.

I am in  Phnom Penh, Cambodia with the Maryknoll Sisters. Today is Holy Thursday and I met a man on the street begging who lost his legs in a landmine.  I knelt down in front of him, spoke a few words , looked in his eyes and gave him some money. This was my Holy Thursday   “washing of the feet”.

Amie and I just finished a day with workers from the Palm Oil Plantations.
